# Assign created tests to students

* Step 1: Select [**My Library**](https://teacher.flyer.us/exams?utm_source=help\&utm_medium=internallink\&utm_content=assign-created-tests-to-students) from the homepage. Click on the exercise you want to edit from the **My tests** list.

Teachers can only assign exercises that are set to “**Public to the community**” or “**Shared with the school**”.

* Step 2: Click the **Assign as homework** button in the right corner of the screen.
* Step 3: Select the assignees (students or classes).
* Step 4: Configure the timing and assignment settings:
  * Start time: When the exercise will automatically be sent to the students.
  * Deadline: Submissions received after this time will be marked as late.
  * Hide answers when students submit: Students cannot view the correct answers after completing the exercise.
  * Simulation test mode: Students will receive a warning if they open a new browser tab. They cannot copy or find text while doing the exercise.

After all students have submitted their work, teachers can disable the "*Hide answers*" option in the **Edit assignee**.
